Internships & Volunteers

Internships

Gain hands-on experience in social justice work while supporting real change in the San Joaquin Valley. Our internship program offers opportunities across multiple departments, with flexible remote and in-person options:

Available Departments:

  • Civic Engagement: Voter registration, community outreach, and advocacy training
  • Development & Communications: Program design, content creation, and strategic communications
  • Education: Community education and program development
  • Research & Archives: Data analysis, historical preservation, and policy research
  • Administration: Operations support and organizational development

We work with students, career changers, and fellowship participants to create meaningful learning experiences that align with your goals and our mission for social justice.

Volunteers

GET INVOLVED

There are many ways you and your community can volunteer and support DHF’s work for social justice. Here are some opportunities to make a difference:

Event Volunteer Can’t join us in person but want to support our mission? Host a house party fundraiser in your community! We’ll provide all the materials and guidance you need to bring people together and raise critical funds for our organizing work.

Advocacy Ready to take action on the issues that matter? Check our website regularly for Calls to Action where you can contact elected officials, sign petitions, and amplify our campaigns from wherever you are.

Community Organizing Make a difference right in your neighborhood. We invite you to become an agent of change by connecting with local social justice efforts and building power in your own community.
