Thank you, Los Angeles!

On June 6, we gathered at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes to celebrate an incredible milestone—Dolores Huerta’s 95th birthday—and to honor the work of the Dolores Huerta Foundation and the movement leaders building a more just future.

It was a night filled with joy, community, and purpose. We were proud to recognize Yvonne Wheeler, Ed Begley Jr., and Bamby Salcedo for their leadership in labor, environmental justice, and trans liberation.

While we celebrated, we were also reminded of the urgency of our work. Just blocks away, ICE conducted aggressive raids on immigrant vendors in downtown LA—a heartbreaking contrast that underscored why we must continue to show up, organize, and fight back.

We’re so grateful to the incredible partners who made the night unforgettable:

To everyone who made this night possible—thank you. We truly made history together.

If you didn’t get a chance to support the work of DHF, you can still donate here.
