DHF 2024 Impact Report

2024 was not an easy year. Our communities faced harmful rhetoric, policy setbacks, and new challenges to equity and justice. But as Dolores always reminds us, the greatest progress often follows the darkest of times.

Thanks to our supporters, Vecinos Unidos®, youth leaders, and partners, change happened. Together, we mobilized voters, defended public education, expanded access to healthcare, and built local power in neighborhoods too often overlooked.

Highlights from the year include:

  • 18,200 voters reached and 925 new voters registered through canvassing and voter drives

  • 175 free vaccination clinics administering more than 11,000 COVID-19 shots

  • 5 new Vecinos Unidos® chapters launched, tackling issues from school safety to infrastructure

  • Groundbreaking of the $34.8M Peace & Justice Cultural Center, a future hub for organizing and cultural preservation

  • Youth leaders shaping policy—from improving school meals to inspiring first-time voters at Vota Palooza

These victories are your victories. Every number in this report is a story of people finding their voices, taking action, and creating lasting change — because you believed in the power of grassroots organizing.
