April 10th, 2020 marks Dolores Huerta’s 90th Birthday. As president, she has led Dolores Huerta Foundation (DHF) in organizing politically disempowered, low income, immigrant, and farmworker communities for over 15 years. DHF has a respected and proven track record of affecting policy and forcing structural transformation that builds power and improves daily lives. DHF is uniquely positioned to address the needs of the most vulnerable families in this COVID-19 crisis.

DHF staff have been working from home to advocate for educational and economic resources such as food security and access to technology for low income students. DHF is working with a statewide coalition, End Childhood Poverty CA, on statewide advocacy for income support for impoverished families, regardless of immigration status, to make sure those most in need are covered by state and federal emergency funds. DHF is continuing outreach to hard-to-count communities to secure essential funding for public services for the next 10 years by getting everyone counted in the 2020 Census.

Dolores is raising funds to help communities who are in dire need and would be honored if you could celebrate her birthday with her and be a champion for these underserved populations.
