In the era of mass deportations, over incarceration and a humanitarian crisis of unaccompanied minors at our southern border, the women of A Trail for Humanity are journeying over 300 miles on foot for children and families. They are walking from the San Francisco Bay to the U.S. Mexico Border with dignity, along with their children calling for humanity.
They arrive in Bakersfield, this afternoon and plan to stage a protest at the offices of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy calling on him to use his leadership to support a humanitarian approach to the crisis at the border and comprehensive immigration reform.
