SCHOOL DISTRICT UPDATES
Hello,
In efforts to ensure that Vecinos Unidos, parents, and families have the most recent updates from their school districts, the Dolores Huerta Foundation has compiled a list of the following school districts in Kern, Fresno, Tulare, and Antelope Valley that we are currently monitoring:
- P. 2 Kern High School District (Kern County)
- P. 5 Bakersfield City School District (Kern County)
- P. 6 Arvin Union School District (Kern County)
- P. 7 Lamont Elementary School District (Kern County)
- P. 8 Vineland School District (Kern County)
- P. 9 Mojave Unified School District (Kern County)
- P. 10 Parlier Unified School District (Fresno County)
- P. 11 Sanger Unified School District (Fresno County)
- P. 12 Caruthers Unified School District (Fresno County)
- P. 13 Fresno Unified School District (Fresno County)
- P. 14 Lindsay Unified School District (Tulare County)
- P. 15 Woodlake Unified School District (Tulare County)
- P. 16 Wilsona Elementary School District (LA County)
- P. 17 Antelope Valley High School District (LA County)
- P. 18 Eastside Union School District (LA County)
- P. 19 Lancaster School District (LA County)
- P. 20 Westside Union School District (LA County)
The information for each district includes:
- Dates of school district closures
- Tentative dates back in session
- Meal pick up times, dates, and locations
- Student learning material provided by the district
We will continue to update the information as needed. But please note that you will have to contact your district about a meal plan for a student with dietary restrictions. Right now, any student can go to a school that is providing meals to receive food, they DO NOT have to attend that site to receive the meal.
Sincerely,
Cecilia Castro, DHF Education Policy Director, ccastro@doloreshuerta.org, 661.322.3033 ext 230
