Join The Kern Education Justice Collaborative in expressing concerns about the proposed $2.4 million allocated to “school safety and security personnel” compared to $920,000 to be used in workshops for counselors and dean of students. The KEJC has been advocating for increased funding for school counselors, teacher training, and implementation of alternative discipline programs such as Restorative Justice and Positive Behavior Intervention and Support.
