Call to Action: Kern High School District (KHSD) Board Meeting, 5801 Sundale Ave., Bakersfield, on Monday, April 6th at 7:00 pm
The KHSD Board of Trustees and Superintendent Bryon Schaefer are pushing to transfer this district’s most successful Latino principal, Jaime Quiñonez, from Mira Monte to the district office.
Quiñonez is one of three Latino principals in the district, because of him Mira Monte has quickly jumped to number six, in Bakersfield, in terms of academic performance. If they succeed in pushing him out, the students at Mira Monte will suffer.
